Reporters: Did you take any medication before the press conference to calm yourself?
Gillian : No. (while shaking her head)
Reporters : Feel calmer?
Gillian : Yes , but still very nervous, it has being a while since I have seen so much media and press.
Reporters: Care to share how you calm yourself down?
Gillian : Usually I hide my head under a blanket and try not to think about it.
Reporters: Tomorrow there is an event in Mongkok, are you worried about what the public will feel about your comeback?
Gillian : I am prepared for a lot of things.
Reporters: There have being many reports that you were reciting a script during the Be My Guest interview
Gillian : I have poor memory so even if I was given a script, I would not have remembered.
Reporters: Have you seen some of the negative reports about you online?
Gillian : Via Baidu, I understand a lot of the bad press has being removed as I did not see any. I will concentrate on my work and do my best.
Reporters: Did Edison call you?
Gillian : (shaking her head, her manager informs her not to answer that question)
Reporters: What upcoming work do you have planned?
Gillian : Besides this Bauhaus ad, I have an upcoming skincare advertisement with Yumiko.
Reporters: Rumors said you took a 70% paycut?
Gillian : I am not familiar with the figures
Reporters: Rumors also said that if response is bad, Yumiko will replace you?
Manager : No, the advertiser wanted two female to endorse the skincare brand.
Reporters: Some netizens have said they will boycott Bauhaus
Gillian : Bauhaus has nothing to do with it, I hope people will not boycott them
Reporters: Such comments affect your confidence?
Gillian : Bauhaus has being great for my confidence, I am grateful that I can be their spokesperson. I will do my best.
Reporters: Any discount in your pay?
Manager: The figure is a secret, we are grateful for the advertiser’s support.
Reporters: Any special concession?
Manager: Reasonable price, it is a 7-figure contract and not 70% off.
Reporters: How about this venue? Who suggested it?
Manager: Me, there are not many venues that can host so many of you media in Hong Kong, it’s spacious here and everyone can sit.
Reporters: Does this venue bring back any memories?
Gillian : Why?
Reporters: Edison Chen held a press conference here about a year ago apologizing about the photo scandal.
Gillian : Hong Kong is very small place.
Reporters: After being jobless for a year, any financial problems?
Gillian : I have some savings and have not borrowed money from anyone or any company. My company did advance me some money which I have repaid.
Reporters: There are articles saying you sold your property?
Gillian : I am not eager to sell as the property market is in a downturn.I have rented it out.
Reporters: Did you sell any property?
Gillian : Yes, when the market was falling, everyone has lost some money.
Reporters: Are your financially sound now?
Gillian : ok
Reporters: If you are financially secured, have you considered not working at all?
Gillian : The money is not enough to support my family for life, I also like working.
Reporters: Did Juno Mak say he will take care of you for life?
Gillian : No.
Reporters: Does Juno Mak support your comeback?
Gillian : Many of my friends support me. Juno sent me an sms supporting me.
Reporters: Did Alex Fong do anything for your “publicity”?
Gillian : Alex called to explain his words which was misquoted. Alex supports me and tells me to ignore negative news.
Reporters: How about the rumors that Alex Fong denied dating you?
Gillian : Yes there were some rumors.
Reporters: So you guys did not date?
Gillian: No, if Alex says no, the answer is no. Besides what does it matter, it is in the past.
Reporters: Is Juno a suitor?
Gillian: No, we’re friends. *smiling
Reporters: So you are currently single?
Gillian : Yes for now
Reporters: Suspicious of men?
Gillian : No, I have other more important things like work. Work comes first, I have not worked for a long time.
Reporters: Have you considered moving towards a sexier image?
Gillian : I think there is no need to go to that extent, but it depends on the requirements of the movie or advertisement.
Reporters: Do you support Cecilia Cheung comeback?
Gillian : Yes I fully support her, Cecilia express her position very well.
Reporters : Do you support her saying Edison was shedding “crocodile tears?”
Gillian : No comments on this, but Cecilia is very brave.
